Characteristic：

HX5158 is highly butyl etherified melamine formaldehyde resin, has the very good compatibility, fast curing reaction at low temperature; functional groups with hydroxyl, carboxyl and amide, good curing reaction in acidic condition.

HX5158 has high solid content, low foaming property, excellent solubility, quick low temperature curing reaction, less weight loss, low formaldehyde taste, good adhesion, salt spray resistance and weather resistance.

HX5158 is completely dissolved in most alcohols, polyols, and ether alcohols, ketones, lipids, aromatic, and chlorinated solvents. Partially dissolved in vinyl alcohol, aliphatic hydrocarbons and nitrifying solvents, but insoluble in water, however, the solubility of 40/60, 30/70 and 20/80 water / ethanol can increase their solubility.

HX5158 is compatible with most long, medium and short oil alkyd resins, polyacrylics, acrylic acid, epoxy resin, cellulose and low molecular weight polyols. Because of its low water tolerance, most water based resins are limited in use because of their compatibility with most anionic aqueous resins.

HX5158 needs to be solidified with weak acid catalyst. It will bake at a normal temperature of 125 degrees or higher for 20 minutes without catalyst, such as low temperature or short time, and catalyst is needed to catalyze.
